Open educational resources are free public websites containing educational resources. They cover a variety of information and assist in teaching. This gives teachers and students access to teaching resources for free. Linked below is an example of an open educational resource. http://www.classroom20.com/profiles/blogs/649749:BlogPost:180818 I learned to simplify concepts and teach them in an engaging manner way. Adding interactive aspects to keep engagement was a challenge. I also want to investigate more ways to make the PowerPoints interactive. I liked the simplicity of the app though, it was refreshing. powerpoint presentation " by  MattHurst  is licensed under  CC BY-SA 2.0 .

 1.  https://emespring2024ap.weebly.com/ 2. I don't use AI tools daily. I've used things predictive text, but I don't feel it's a major AI tool. It saves a few seconds of time but not much. I worry about privacy with AI. I don't have any questions about AI tools right now. 3. Using ChatGPT has been fun. It's cool to see how AI has conversations. I never realized how much goes into making AI bots. Again there's still security risks with AI to protect students from.  4. AI tools could be helpful for efficiency. A tool that can help with organizing materials could save teachers a lot of time. I'd be open to trying AI tools but I'd want to make sure they're easy to use and respect students' privacy. I think a simple one to use would be something to create lesson plans.

The school website I looked on and most websites in general have many helpful resources for students and parents. There are links to student sites such as Canvas and Khan Academy. There are also links for parents such as links to additional help resources, and contact information links. There are many important updates for both parents and students on the site, as well as the current subject/curriculum.    https://www.leonschools.net/domain/1574  I will be using technology to easily communicate with students and parents. I think integrating AI tools into learning can make the job get done more efficiently. Integrative tools such as Zoom and online classrooms can be useful in teaching as well as learning. It ensures all who have extenuating circumstances with be given equal opportunity.  I really liked the part of the assignment where we had to create a page to give credit to each person in the group and what job they completed. The pages were supe...

Ive been on Instagram for many years now but I haven't been on Twitter long. Instagram is super easy to navigate and I find myself interacting with mutuals and friends. Twitter I only really interact with strangers. Ive had a few job opportunities reach out through Instagram and its really great for advertising myself. Twitter for me personally doesn't help with my future career because I don't put myself out there on Twitter. Digital divide is the disparity between technological access in different socioeconomic groups. The digital divide can negatively impact a student success in school. Some causes could be different economic status's and bad funding. Reflecting on this I want to be aware of the digital divide, adopt flexible teaching methods and advocate for solutions.  Two software tools I would use are Canva and Kahoot. Canva is a tool I personally use to make pretty PowerPoints/documents. I feel like it would keep students more engaged in class. Kahoot is a game ...

For the technology standard used for 5th grade it includes basic websites such as Wordle, Youtube and Google slides. It includes explaining texts and using engaging educational sites. With my current skill set I feel I could implement this standard. It's limited to pulling up websites and navigating them, as well as creating basic documents such as PowerPoints. These are basic skills I feel I mastered in middle school and I would feel very comfortable implementing them in a classroom. The resource of lesson planning found on the website can be extremely helpful in my teaching. It can be used to ensure the alignment of curriculum, which is extremely helpful for students, especially in standardized testing. It gives ideas for activities that can cut time for lesson planning and is engaging for students. It also gives a better idea of what teachers should cover and how they can do it efficiently. Being proficient in internet searc...

When coming up with material to give students I would find it best to create a unique curriculum. Though that can be a lot of work and very time-consuming it decreases the likelihood of copyright issues and engages the students more. It can also decrease the likelihood of cheating as unique material calls for unique answers. It is theorized that students have a decrease in productivity when allowed to use technology in class. While it's not proven I agree with this as I've seen many students use technology for other things during designated technology time. This causes students to fall behind in class very quickly. Ad blockers and site blockers would work well but I've seen lots of people get past them, so a better solution would be the teacher's computer being able to watch over the rest.  Though I agree AI can be so helpful if used correctly I've never seen it used for good. I typically see...

Around High school, I was introduced to Word and it has since become a very important application in my journey as a student. I prefer Word to everything else because I feel it's the easiest to navigate. I have tried pages before but it doesn't feel the same, or as productive. Microsoft applications coming with every student's email is such a nice advantage of being a student. The ISTE Standards for Educators provides a guide to integrate technology into learning. One standard is facilitator where educators have to provide a curious environment where learners can explore technology. I think is important for individual creativity and making learning fun. I also believe collaborative software is so important in the field of education. being a digital native means working well with technology since you were born in the technology era. I believe Gen Alpha falls into this category and has a complex understanding of technology, but not all of Gen Z. To be born in an era and to b...
